Walking down the street I can see many doors to homes and businesses. Sometimes I can’t, some have opaque gates or thick bushes hiding doors and windows from view.
I know I am just as unwelcome in the hidden doors as by the visible ones and if I want to enter; I must knock or ring the door bell.
No one is shut shaming the houses whose doors I can access without a gate and can see from the street.
Why do we treat bodies with less respect than buildings.
My house is naked. I don’t have a viable physical barrier. We can all expect I won’t have tresspassers. My body should be the same.
My body is a temple. I don’t accept worshippers or donations without requests.
