Medi-Cal is the Medicaid program as administered by California. It is an ammendment to the 1930’s Social Security Act .
Who Qualifies?
- Blind
- Disabled
- Under age 21
- Pregnant
- etc….
Income Requirements:
130% of federal poverty line
- person $16,105
You may qualify if enrolled in the following:
- CalFresh
- SSI/SSP
- CalWorks (AFDC)
- Refrugee Assistance
- Foster Care or Adoption Assistance Program
Medicare and Medical – you can have both
MEDICARE is for people who have paied in 10 years or 40 quartrs of income.
