One of the reasons I am a fan of Universal Health Care is the number of sick people living untreated in huddled masses on Skidmore row.
It is a cesspool of bacteria and viruses – a perfect breeding ground.
Unfortunately these can maim and kill. The good Reverend Bales of the Union Rescue Mission has been attacked by bacteria and crippled as as result.
I have spent hours with him and know him to be truly called to his work. No person deserves to be a victim of filth, especially not him.
Perhaps now the City of Los Angeles will also wash the streets when "street cleaning" is supposed to happen?
